Provides for the activities of daily living using established nursing guidelines and procedures for nursing home. Typical tasks include: dressing and grooming, peri-care, oral care, showers and baths, toileting, feeding, sanitation and cleaning of designated areas, bed and linen changes. Assists in activities, transfers patients using proper techniques and equipment. Notes ADL’s on flow sheets.
Shift Differential of .50 evenings and $1.00 nights.

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of established nurse aide procedures and guidelines. Skills in the use of proper lifting techniques, the use of mechanical lifts, scales, and other typical equipment used in nursing procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff. Ability to follow direction, read, write, and maintain visual acuity. Ability to work in a safe manner following established policies and general safety rules. Physical demands include, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, squatting, and extensive standing.
The above knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience in established procedures for nurse aides in a nursing home environment. Must be a Certified Nurse Aide by the State of Montana.
