We are looking for an energetic, service oriented individual to join our custodial team that will be responsible for cleaning the Capitol building! You would perform a variety of cleaning tasks in the Capitol building such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, performing routine upkeep activities, and notifying management when repairs are needed. You would respond to emergencies involving the clean-up of potential bio-hazards and food/beverage spills. The Capitol building is a historic treasure containing ornate art and classical architecture. You would be responsible for selecting the proper cleaning method in a variety of situations.
These are all regular, full time positions with the State of Montana. Look here to see the benefits! The shift available is a night shift – Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; -
One or more years of custodial experience; -
Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Custodial equipment, practices, procedures, and supplies; -
Cleaning chemicals, the related hazards, and safety standards.
Ability to:

Safely and effectively operate and maintain all custodial equipment; -
Handle chemical cleaning agents safely; -

Operate a computer to perform data entry such as timekeeping and e-mail; -
Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions.
