Contracts Administrative Assistant (Temporary)

The State Procurement Bureau administers a cost-effective, professional procurement and contract administration program for the State of Montana by ensuring fair competition, maximizing the purchasing value of public funds, and providing leadership and services for innovative, responsive and accountable public procurement. This position performs contract assistance support services requiring independent judgment and initiative while working with contracts officers in the procurement and contracting of supplies and services for the State of Montana. This position also provides general administrative support for the bureau.
This position is temporary and is projected to last up to one year. This is a full-time position and the successful candidate would be eligible for benefits and retirement plan participation during this assignment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years’ general office experience. Experience with eProcurement software or similar systems; and knowledge of the state’s procurement statutes, rules, and processes is preferred. -
