The Montana Department of Revenue administers approximately 40 state taxes, property appraisals, liquor laws, and unclaimed property for the State of Montana.

DUTIES

The Quality Assurance Administrator uses software tools, industry standards, policies, procedures and experience to ensure all system updates, enhancements and changes are tested, documented and implemented in accordance with accepted industry standards, best practices and department policies. The Quality Assurance Administrator ensures systems operate properly and users are able to access system functions. The incumbent provides user technical support, training and applications/system support within individual work units and the department as a whole in order to meet the organization-wide goals based on state standards.

Qualifications:


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

The above competencies are typically acquired through the completion of a degree in Business, Computer Science or closely related field and job-related work experience. Completion of an associate's degree and 5 years of job-related work experience or a bachelor degree and 3 years of job-related work experience. Work experience must include software support, software testing, business analysis, requirements analysis, help desk software, and participation in software projects. ISTQB Software Tester Certification, Level I, or similar certification is preferred. Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis. It is important that all previous work experience is listed in your application.

This position does not require any postsecondary education – however, if you have documented graduation and a college degree please attach your transcripts
