If so, then you may be interested to know the Butte Job Service is currently recruiting for a full-time Workforce Consultant .
As a Workforce Consultant you will provide:
- Comprehensive assessments, employment and training services for job seekers.
- Services to a diverse population with a wide range in skill level; to include veterans, persons with disabilities, ex-felons, those with little formal education, homeless, and the senior population.
- Core, intensive and training services to clients who qualify for employment and training programs.
- Customized business services for employers to address their needs in the area of worker recruitment & retention, employment law, economic trends and workforce solutions including human resource management practices.
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of :

Labor and employment laws, rules and procedures. -
HR best practices. -
Interviewing methods. -
Current social and labor market conditions in the area. -
Labor market information and application, including local, regional, statewide, national and global trends impacting workforce needs. -
Curriculum development and training techniques. -
Pertinent social and labor legislation and Job Service regulation and policies.
Skill in :

Using a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet applications and program databases. -

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in a field such as personnel or business administration, counseling, education or related field.
- One year of directly related experience assessing and advising others in a variety of personal and professional issues such as employment, personnel, counseling, finance, or education, human services or social work or related area.
Or
- Five years of directly related qualifying experience.
*Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Preferred experience :
Case management, client assessment, business services, networking; including utilization of community resources, labor market information including job development and placement skills.
